Hello Friday. April 19 2024 Fort Worth was ranked one of the worst places to ride a bike — but a new 66-mile bike trail spanning from downtown Fort Worth to downtown Dallas will give cyclists a safe place to ride long distances.
The trail has been in the planning process for two decades | Photo via @snook969 Where will the trail go? The continuous trail will run from Fort Worth through the four other core North Texas cities — Arlington, Grand Prairie, Irving, and Dallas. Here’s a look at how the cities are working together to connect the ‘superhighway.’
When can we take the trail for a spin? The final piece connecting Fort Worth to Grand Prairie is awaiting design and environmental clearance. Construction is expected to wrap up by the end of this year and the full trail (from end to end) is expected to be ready by the end of 2023. Are you ready to ride?

There’s a lot to see at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, but a new mural inspired by the ever-changing Texas sky is a jaw-dropper. The mural was painted over Tower Drive and leads to Dickies Arena from Will Rogers Memorial Center — a prime location between rodeo venues.
The mural was created by Fort Worth artist Ariel Davis and features portraits of horses, cowboy boots + other things that make Texas, well, Texas. You can keep up with the mural's progress and Ariel's other work on her Instagram page. #DYK that your photos and quotes could be featured in our newsletter? Just use #FTWtoday on social media.
